Mario Pronovost is a very talented senior graphic designer, he obtained a  B.A. in Graphic Communication from Laval University in Quebec city. After completion of his B.A. he moved to Oakville (Ontario), to study computer graphics at Sheridan College. Once he obtained his certification, he then moved to Toronto where he worked as a graphic designer for the Ministry Of Natural Resources and for Bell Canada as well.

 

Having a strong desire to start his own advertising company, Mario relocated to Montreal in 1988 where he incorporated his company named “ProGart Communications Inc”. From 1988 up to 2004, he managed and developed over 120 corporate accounts through the province of Quebec, reaching a staff of 62 employees working at “ProGart Communications”.

 

During that period Mario also designed a seminar called “Freelance Graphic Designer, My Choice Of Career”, which he personally presented to both cities Montreal and Quebec, and then became a well-respected speaker. In1999, the International Academy Of Design and Technologies located in Montreal hired him, as a full-time instructor for the Graphic Design department where he adapted his seminar to a full 12 weeks session. The course was created to help prepare the graduate students to meet the market expectations.

His passion for sharing knowledge brought him to teach for the French and English department, where he has been nominated and been awarded “Teacher Of The Year”, for many years at the International Academy Of Design and Technologies. From 1999 up to 2004, Mario Pronovost has been teaching different courses such as; Preparing Estimate for Quotes, Multimedia Studio Practice, Quark XPress, Pre-Press I and Pre-Press II, Illustrator, Photoshop, Psychology of Marketing and Publicity, as well as training the Designers Team at Air Canada Vacations.

 

From 2012 to 2014, Mario worked as a Senior Graphic Designer for MAAX Bath Inc., in Lachine (Quebec), and then decided to go back to his private practice as a freelance graphic designer.

 

Along with his career in Design, Mario studied music at Berklee College of Music in Boston USA, where he obtained a Guitar Skill and Song Writing Certification. The performing arts remains for him an important aspect where he pursued his passion, as a singer-songwriter and performer.  He was one of the founders of the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage in Morrisburg (Ontario), created the famous French Café on English Road in Iroquois (Ontario), worked to promote classical music with Fort Town Concert Association in Prescott (Ontario).  He was also responsible for promoting renowned International Artists for Canadian Tours, with Troubadour Studio.

 

He also taught guitar using his own method, he remains a freelance graphic designer for various companies across Canada, the United States and Europe.
